This years Boxing Day Eights where held in almost tropical conditions compared to last years snow disrupted event. It also ensured a good turnout with 6 eights competing for the coveted Boxing Day trophies. All the races where close with less than length for every verdict which was a credit to the organisers for putting together such balanced scratch crews. In the end the crew of Jo Unsworth, James Mills, John Taylor, Florence Lock, Josh Watson, Alex Hall, Sarah Winckless, Dan Boddington and cox Christie Stephens took the trophy in front of an excellent crowd.
