Henley Rowing Club offers a series of ‘learn to row’ courses and private tuition aimed at adults and juniors who have never rowed before and would like to give it a go.
The River and Rowing Museum is providing a series of lectures in October and November on Rowing History. On 12th October the topic is: ’From Ptolemy to Hawks’ with Professor Boris Rankov, Chairman of the Trireme Trust on Ptolemy and the largest oared vessels ever built.
The club welcomes visiting crews, but it is important that you confirm arrangements prior to your visit as we have lots of enquiries and need to limit the number of visitors using our facilities, particularly at weekends. Please use the contact page before the date of your visit, don’t arrive without obtaining prior agreement as you will not be allowed to boat from the club.
Olympic oarsman and U23 World Champion Pete Wells joins Henley Rowing Club as Head Coach with the objective of revitalising our senior squads and follows on from our successes in recent years at Henley Royal Regatta, National Schools Regatta, National Championships and other regattas around the country and in Europe.
Pete will be at the Start-Up Saturday meeting on 7th September. Come along, meet up and join the fun!
