Whilst the Juniors competed at the Nat Schools the Senior Women competed at the two day Metropolitan Regatta. Traditionaly a London Regatta but last weekend held on the 1500 metre multi lane course at Dorney Lake, Eton, as are a number of other South east regattas this season. On Saturday the girls finished second in Senior One quads behind Kingston Rowing Club. This was a tight race with the top four crews (Notts County third and Upper Thames fourth) all overlapping at the finish. On Sunday Lucy Mills and Juliet Hookey from the quad competed in Womens Senior One double sculls. After a comfortable victory in the eliminating round the girls went on to win the final by the significant margin of 8secs, well clear of second placed Upper Thames and 13 secs clear of third placed Marlow.
